Samhain is a time when the boundary between the living and the unseen softens, and we can feel the presence, wisdom, and guidance of those who came before us.
This is a time of remembering. Of honouring. Of acknowledging that we are the living continuation of many generations.
As the land continues its descent toward Winter, there is a quiet invitation to slow down. For us to turn inwards and listen more deeply.
Where the Equinox asked you to take stock, Samhain invites something different.
A turning toward those who came before you.
An opportunity to feel, within your own body, what has been passed down through your lineage—
the strengths, the wisdom, and also the patterns that continue through you.
A chance to become conscious of what you carry, and how you choose to live in relationship with it.
At the heart of this evening is a simple and meaningful ritual of remembrance.
Together, we will light candles to honour loved ones who have passed—
creating space to acknowledge their lives, their impact, and the threads that still live within us.
You may feel grief. You may feel love. You may feel nothing at all. And all of it is welcome.
This is often a deeply felt part of the night.
Samhain, the midpoint between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice, offers a way to cross a threshold consciously—held, witnessed, and connected.
It asks us to honour loss, while also acknowledging that this is part of the cycle of renewal.
In this circle, we gather in the ancient way of women.
We will open a gentle and grounded space to honour loved ones who have passed, to acknowledge the threads of lineage that live within us, and to offer gratitude for the lives and wisdom that have shaped who we are.
During the evening, we will move through simple, meaningful ritual, creating space to release what is complete, to honour what has been, and to prepare—gently—for the stillness of Winter.
Weather permitting, part of the evening will be spent gathered around the fire outdoors on sacred land in Aldgate.
