Ceremonies involving heat, sweating, and enclosed, cave-like structures have existed across many cultures for centuries—used for healing, prayer, song, and connection to Spirit.
There are many reasons you may feel called to this work:
Whatever the reason, the Womb Lodge invites you into a place of humility, openness, and rebirth.
The Womb Lodge is a weaving of my own lived experience— through participation in Lakota Sweat Lodge ceremonies across India, the UK, the USA, and Australia, alongside my Celtic ancestry, where sweat houses were traditionally practised throughout Ireland, Wales, and Europe.
Each tradition carries its own lineage and language.
This offering honours that, while acknowledging the shared human instinct to gather in this way.
This ceremony is guided by the Women’s Wheel and the Four Directions, honouring our journey as women moving through cycles—deepening connection to our bodies, the Earth, and each other.
It is a place to re-member what has been forgotten.
The ceremony takes place within a small, enclosed lodge— a womb-like space held close to the Earth.
The ceremony is held across ‘four rounds’, each with its own intention.
Between rounds, the lodge door is opened, offering moments of breath and integration.
We will share food together in a simple, nourishing feast.
